How to Buy on Self-Service Auctions
A simple guide to verifying your account, placing bids, paying online, and picking up your items.
Quick Card Verification via Stripe
Browsing auctions is always free. Before placing your first bid, you will save and verify a payment card securely through Stripe. Your card details are stored directly with Stripe and never kept on our servers. This keeps bidding fair, stops fake accounts, and ensures all bids placed are genuine.
Placing Bids & 2-Minute Staggered Closings
Enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item. The system bids automatically on your behalf in standard increments, keeping you in the lead at the lowest possible price up to your max. Items do not all end at the same time: items close 2 minutes apart so you can comfortably manage bids across multiple items. If someone bids in the final 3 minutes of an item, that item's timer automatically extends by 3 minutes to give everyone a fair chance to respond.
Simple Checkout & Pickup PIN
Once all items in the auction finish closing, all items you won are grouped into a single invoice with 0% buyer's premium. Pay online via Stripe Checkout using your credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. As soon as your payment confirms, your receipt will reveal the seller's full street address, the designated pickup dates and hours, and your 4-digit Pickup PIN.
Preparing for Pickup Day
Check your receipt for the seller's scheduled pickup dates and hours. Please wait until that scheduled window to collect your items. Because sales take place at private homes or properties, bring your own boxes, packing materials, straps, and help for lifting large or heavy furniture.
Inspecting Items & Completing Pickup
When you arrive on-site, inspect your items before loading them into your vehicle. If an item has an unexpected flaw or issue that was not listed in the photos or description, talk with the seller on-site. The seller can apply an agreed discount directly through the dashboard. Once your items are inspected and loaded, give your 4-digit Pickup PIN to the seller to complete your pickup.
