1. How Our Platform Works
SelfServiceAuction.com provides software tools that make it easy for neighbors to run and shop local online auctions. We are not professional auctioneers, liquidators, or retail sellers. We do not inspect, grade, transport, or guarantee the physical condition of items listed by sellers.
2. Seller Responsibilities
When you publish an auction, you enter into a binding agreement to sell your listed items to the winning bidder at the end of the auction, as long as any reserve price you set has been met.
Sellers confirm that they legally own all items listed and have the full right to sell and hand them over to buyers.
3. Buyer Responsibilities
Placing a bid is a serious commitment. If you are the winning bidder when an item's timer ends, you are legally committed to paying your invoice and collecting your items during the designated pickup hours.
Failing to pay for items you won or abandoning them without collection will result in the suspension or permanent closing of your account.
4. Pickup Safety & Property Access
Item pickups take place on private property arranged directly between the buyer and seller. Self-Service Auctions and Darr Web Solutions are not responsible for any personal injury, slips, falls, vehicular accidents, or property damage that may occur during in-person previews or item pickups.
5. Payments & Platform Fees
All payments, buyer card verifications, and seller payouts are processed securely through Stripe. Platform fees for sellers follow our progressive bracket model (beginning at 15% and automatically reducing on higher-value items). By using the service, users agree to follow Stripe's Terms of Service and payment policies.
6. Limitation of Liability
By using Self-Service Auctions, you agree to hold harmless Self-Service Auctions and Darr Web Solutions from any disputes, claims, losses, or legal liabilities arising from your transactions, item listings, or interactions with other buyers and sellers.
